It doesn’t matter which local news station you tune into. No one type of story. There is no one reporter. No particular scapegoat that I can beat with a stick that magically and exponentially increases in size with each smack down. But, really, how is it possible?
How can you seek out the dumbest possible people to make a comment that goes out to an audience of millions? I know nothing about broadcast journalism (the fact that my “Communication Studies” major only focused on rhetoric is a whole other blog post), but surely the first thing they teach you is how to pick the right person to interview. About what is considered an actual contribution to the story.

Frankly, it’s why I can’t stand to watch news on the tv anymore. I feel like it makes me dumber. Surely it defeats the point.
